Course contents :  
The stage equipment installed in theaters will be discussed in terms of architectural concepts, specifications, performances, installation, use and maintenance. The use of the building by artists, visitors, managers and technicians (sound and light engineers, managers, ...) will be studied in terms of impact on the architecture and equipment. Finally, the study of specialized and multipurpose rooms will train the student in decision making during theaters design phase.
The subjects are: - Design of theaters and shows - Operation in theaters - Stage Facilities - Equipment for sound and lighting - Design and simulation of sound and light environments - Mobile and dynamic equipment shows - Special Techniques for theaters - Methods and tools for designing
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To understand and master stage Equipments and their relationships to Architecture.

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course consists of 24 hours of theoretical classes. It will take place in the first quadrimester.

Assessment methods and criteria :  
An oral exam is organised in January and relates to all the theoretical material. The course notes cannot be consulted during the exam.
The test in the second session is comprised of an oral exam relating to the theoretical aspects.
