Course contents :  
The course focuses on materials and their uses. Measuring angles and distances, the use and practical application of total stations.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Introduction to the technique of taking measurements of existing elements in order to retain the information necessary to establish a coherent architectural project.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
One hour refresher course on theory as well as a presentation of the instruments to be used for the practical application. Three hours of on-site application exercises.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Attendance is compulsory. No instruments will be made available to students who have not taken part in the theory section (which always takes place prior to the application exercises).
Recommended or required readings :  
Course notes and exercises available on eCampus.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Practical application in groups (max. 5 students) will form part of the assessment. A written and/or oral exam will be organised at the end of the term. Assessment is continuous.
