Course contents :

| The course covers the following subjects:
- Construction Project Management Techniques: planning, stakeholder coordination, site meetings, commissioning.
- Actors of a construction project: owner, consultant, contractor.
- Integrated Design Process: Bouwteam, LEAN Construction and BIM.
- Stages of a construction project.
- Project Administrative specifications: schematic design, planning permission filing, special requirements, details of permission plans.
- Project Technical specifications: Tendering templates of Wallonia.
- Public procurement in the construction sector.
- Project Planning.
- Construction Site Safety: BSI, OHAS 18001.
- Construction Waste Management.
- The financial management of the projects: cost estimate, bills of quantity throughout the project, quantity calculation, progress reports, smoothing financial needs and means of implementation. Professional etiquette and meeting techniques.
- EPBD Experts within the framework of project actors.
- Project Management Quality Indicators: work preparation and quality plan, contribution of construction quality plan for unusual work or at risk, concrete example of a quality plan. |

| The course is comprised of 18 hours of theoretical classes and 18 hours practical work. It will take place in the 1st quadrimester.
Theoretical Lectures, Workshops, participatory and interactive teaching. It is expected that students read the modules of the course before the course. During the course, we will discuss the most difficult issues and we will do exercises. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| Continuous assessment, quizzes during the course, final written exam.
A final written exam is organised in June and relates to all the theoretical material. The course notes cannot be used during the exam.
The mark for the practical work counts for 60 % of the final mark; the mark for the written exam counts for 40 % of the rest. |

| Unjustified absences (beyond two times) will disqualify the student from attending the final exam. |
