Course contents :  
This course module is one of the six modules of the "executive master in technics and management of inland navigation", which is taught in collaboration with the University of Brasilia (Brazil), and of which the courses also take place at the University of Brasilia.
The module focuses on the analysis of transportation systems. The first part of the course will be devoted to the classical modelling frameworks which are often used for passenger and freight modelling frameworks, namely the four-steps modelling approach. In addition, some recent advancements in these approaches will be taught as well. The second part will be devoted to the modelling of multimodal goods transport, where attention is paid to the use of rail infrastructures and inland navigation.
