Course contents :  
Participation in consultations, in surgical interventions, in anesthesia, in the treatment of the hospitalized patients, and in the admissions of emergencies.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To confront the students with real clinical cases
To have the ability to provide a differential diagnosis and to propose an adequate treatment.
Be able to perform the initial emergency care and to ensure the treatment of the intensive care patients.

Clinical anatomy (1GMV)
Anesthesiology (2GMV)
Equine surgery (2GMV)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
All information about the precise organization of the clinic is given on e-campus "equine clinic".
The Learning is given during the clinics by the participation of the students to the consultations, examinations and surgeries, but also via seminars and the case report description.
Recommended or required readings :  
Course of equine surgery and lameness GMV2.
Notes of clinical basic's visible on e-campus, equine clinic.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written and/or oral exam with a horse in the clinic in May/June.
Evaluation of scientific and human qualities during the clinics and emergency duties, including the case report that has to be done. A test about basic knowledge has to be done on the beginning of the rotations in the equine clinics.
An exam (written) and/or oral (during the exam session in May/June about all equine disciplines) is the final part of the evaluation.

Attendance in the clinics and in the emergency shift is compulsory.
