Course contents :  
Experts seminars will be organized to present different methodologies (integrated modeling, planification, support to decision making, risk assessment, ...) in support to water resources management.
Technical seminars will be given (2h) by experts from academic, public or industrial sectors.
At the end of the 4-months period, each student prepares an interative seminar (25 min + 5 min questions) on a problem that he selected himself
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Raising awareness seminars to integrated management and modeling of the water cycle, in particular to the use of water resources management tools

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
2 kinds of seminars, given by :
  • experts (from academic, public or industrial sectors)
  • each student on a chosen subject (in agreement with the titulars)
Seminar content :
  • experience sharing and interaction
  • free medium (audiovisual, power-point, ...)
  • question and answer session, debat, discussion, ...
  • each student will fill a SWOT form on each "expert" seminar

Assessment methods and criteria :  
The evaluation of the students will be based on (i) the average evaluation of their SWOT forms realized on each seminar (50%) and on (ii) the co-evaluation of their own seminar (50%).

Seminars take place at the Aquapole (see http://www.aquapole.ulg.ac.be) on wednesday (alternately with UCL, get more information from the planning of the seminars) from 10:00 AM to 12:00
