Heat and temperature
Principle zero
First law : Application to specific transformations, Internal energy.
Second law : Cyclic transformations, efficiency, Carnot engine, Entropy, Gibbs free energy. |

Learning outcomes of the course :
 |

- Initiation to scientific reasoning.
- Initiation problem resolution (translation in a formal language, resolution of the formal problem, solution analysis and interpretation).
- Learning of orders of magnitude and approximations.
- Learning of fundamental physics laws.
After completing the course the student is expected to apply the first and second laws of thermodynamics to open and cyclic transformations. |
