Course contents :  
This lecture is focussed on the analysis of teaching processes, describe them and study their impact on pupils.
The main chapters are the following:
- What is teaching?
- Trends in paradigms of research on teaching
- Analysis of verbal & non verbal interactions between teachers & pupils.
- Variability according to the class context.
- Impact of expectancies and teachers' judgments
- Results of process-product studies
Learning outcomes of the course :  
- Give the conceptual basis of the analysis of teaching processes
- Study the principal researches, their methodology and their results
- Give the methodological basis of classroom observation.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
None
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
30 hours of practical exercices focused on classroom observation and analysis of data gathered through those observations.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The theory lecture is given in 5 sessions of 3 hours each.

A folder with several papers and slides are provided.
