Course contents :

| Definition of quality. Quality in Production.
Processing steps of a nonconformity. Management of quality. Total quality policy.
Quality tools: Diagrams, Pareto, Ishikawa, Statistical Process Control and machine/process capability, the ¿5 S¿, Kaizen, 6-sigma, Reengineering, QSE (Quality-Security-Environment) integrated management. Certification and accreditation concepts according to ISO-9000/2000 and ISO-17025 standards.
Exercises on Quality Tools and Methods.
Environmental aspects in the products design.
Environmental management systems within the enterprises.

Learning outcomes of the course :

| The object of this course is to familiarize the students with quality management of industrial activities and services.The organization of these activities cannot be imagined without deep reflection on the structures to be put in place in order to ensure optimal efficiency. The objective of this is to reduce the costs of production and working costs but also, and more specifically, to meet the needs of clients (both external and internal).This course will be oriented towards practical work and will be based on the experience of field personnel.After the theoretical presentations, the students will have to illustrate practical projects. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| After various lectures introducing the quality and environmental management, the sudents will developpe a whole management system for a virtual company, a company related to their specialisation domain. This work will be done by group.
A quality manual and the working procedures will be prepared.
It's a enterprise game.
The final quotation will be based on this group work presentation.
On the other hand, some exercices will be devoted to the use of fabrication follow up tools.
Special lectures will be devoted to the human behavior in industrial environment and in the society in general |
