Course contents :  
History of the spanish-american literatures from the precolumbian times till now. Course in spanish.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The student should know the important stages in the history of spanish-american literature and the important authors and titles. He will read numerous extracts of texts (in the porfolio) and also some books which will be determined in September.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Good knowledge of the Spanish language.

Ex cathedra.

- Modern Languages: Alejo Carpentier, Ecue Yamba O.
- Romance Languages: Julio Cortázar, Las armas secretas.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
May-June: written exam about the course and the readings.
Paper on a topic of history of the spanish-american literatures. The exact rules will be explained during the first session.
