Course contents :

| Introduction to the life and work of the poet Anton van Wilderode (1918-1998) within the context of the ideological and political tensions in postwar Flemish society. Reading of several of his texts from this point of view. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Improving the skills of students at analysing modern literary texts in Dutch and at establishing links between these texts and their contemporary ideological and political context. |

| Introductory lectures, followed by collective discussions of texts by Van Wilderode. |
