Course contents :  
The aim of this course is to improve the knowledge and the know-how acquired by the student on a linguistic level (structures, vocabulary) and in the understanding of German culture.

Taught in German - and in French for grammar explanations
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Learning of basic German vocabulary
Information about life in Germany.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
European A2 level (the learner can read and understand simple messages and communicate in simple terms)
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
It is a self-learning course, so when we see each other, we correct the homeworks and have discussions about the videos and the articles the students have to prepare.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Self-learning course and we see each other two hours on the 30th of September, the 21st of October, the 25th of November, the 9th of December and the 17th of April
Recommended or required readings :  
Consulting lol@ regularly is absolutely necessary!
LANGENSCHEIDT: Basic German Vocabulary

Exercises, lecture notes and documents on line on Lol@.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
In January
- oral exam about articles;
- listening comprehension about episodes of the series « Jojo sucht das Glück » (Deutsche Welle) ;
- short essay

In June
Grammar and vocabulary exercises
Students have to take all the different parts of the examination, otherwise the final mark will be 0/20
