Learning outcomes of the course :

| At the end of this course, students will be able to express themselves on a wide-range of subjects and in situations that are specific to the business world.
They will be able to rely on improved intercultural skills since the course introduces them to various aspects of German economy and culture.
This course contributes to achieving the ILO "Ability to speak 2 foreign languages: C1 in English and B2 in one other language". |

Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :

| Students should have a good command of the vocabulary and language structures seen in level 1, 2, 3 and 4. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :

| This course aims at developing all four language skills for general and economic language, as well as for vocationally relevant language. It offers a wide range of reading and writing exercises, as well as listening comprehension exercises and discussions. It helps students build up general and economic vocabulary. |

| 1. Written exam (including listening comprehension): 20 marks: assessment of writing skills, reading and listening comprehension skills, assessment of mastery of language structures and vocabulary.
2. Oral exam: 20 marks, assessment of oral expression skills |
