Methodology - Bottom-up and top-down analysis - Information structure - Principles of pseudocode construction
Symbolic programming (FORTRAN) - Variable dimensionning - Variable assignment - Repeated structures - Alternative structures - Files access - Functions and routines - Iteration - Ranking
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Build algorithms with previous analysis methodology. Translate an algorithm into a programming language with strict syntaxic rules (FORTRAN) and write external files. After completing the course the student is expected to be able to design an algorithm logically and to translate it into a symbolic programming (FORTRAN).

The theoretical and practical course will be given by Hélène Soyeurt. The students are divided into different groups for practical sessions on computers for obvious logistical reasons. Compliance with these groups for participation in pratical sessions is compulsory. The participation in parctical sessions is an obligation.
