Introduction to the vocabulary and concepts used in computer science.
Use of spreadsheet software to solve problems.
Use of Database Management Systems Software to manage Information with SQL language.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
After completing the course the student is expected to
- understand the vocabulary and concepts used in computer science,
- evaluate IT Equipement (hardware and software) to select these that meets user needs,
- use spreadsheet software to solve problems,
- use Database Management Systems Software to manage Information with SQL language.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Knowing how to use IT resources installed in computer classroom.
