This seminar amalgamated with the Seminar 1 (HIST0145-3 -Pr. Cl. Baurain) aims at training last year students for further activities in historical research.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The Student will be able to participate to elaboration of a diachronic scientific reflection and to enter into pluridisciplinary reasoning

Critique historique - Antiquité grecque et romaine(HIST0007-3)  And/or Critique historique - Moyen âge (HIST0009-3)   +++++
"Histoire et sociétés de l'Antiquité méditerranéenne" or  "Histoire et sociétés du Moyen Âge" or "Archivistique"
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
This year's topic is « De Rome à Rome: D'un empire à l'autre ». Reflection about problematics of continuity between Antiquity and early Middle Ages and preservation or restoration of imperial idea.
The students will 
- take an active part in scientific discussions with foreign researchers (36h) - participate in an didactic trip (3 days) - take a passive part in scientific caucuses out of the university (8h.) 
- turn in the oral results of personal research work
