Course contents :  
A history of the evolution of the book in the Renaissance, from the 15th century to the late 16th century, with a particular focus on the printing revolution. The course is accompanied by an introduction to the archaeology of the Renaissance book.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The course aims to accustom students in the handling of ancient books. At the end of the course, students will be able to describe a Renaissance book and place it within the context of its creation.

Students can access the PowerPoint presentations shown in class through MyULg; these slides will remain available online until the end of the academic year. A bibliographical introduction as well as the documents required to complete the final piece of work will be provided through the same channel.
