Learning outcomes of the course :  
Analysis and interpretation of art in an historical perspective (iconological approach).
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
- Good knowledge of European Art History of the 15th and 16th centuries; - ability to use a bibliography including books or articles in English and Italian.

There are no course notes. A bibliography and useful documents (bibliographical references for complementary readings) will be given to students in due course.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The oral examination will cover the knowledge and methodological subjects covered during the course. Lectures and presentations made by students and written reports of readings will also be taken into account.
