Learning outcomes of the course :  
Learn how to make a research on a building or its firnishings, and how to write a scientific report, both precise and concise about a medieval topic; also, how to raise interest within a knowledgeable audience.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Having followed the course "Histoire de l'art et archéologie du Moyen Age: de l'époque paléo-chrétienne à l'époque romane" and "Histoire de l'art et archéologie du Moyen Age: l'époque gothique".
Or having read: Chr. HECK, Moyen Age. Chrétienté et Islam, Paris, 2005, p. 132-435.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Write a 3-page scientific report and give an oral presentation of around twenty minutes on a work of art.

The first lesson will take place on Friday 20 September at 2:00 pm. During this lesson the agenda will be specified and the subjects will be assigned.
The course is organised with the collaboration of Marie Lekane, researcher at the FNRS, assistant in the Service d'Histoire de l'Art et d'Archéologie du Moyen Age, member of "TRANSITIONS - Département de Recherches sur le Moyen Age tardif et la première Modernité".
This course is part of a comprehensive specialised training in relation with the activities of the research centre "TRANSITIONS - Département de Recherches sur le Moyen Age tardif et de la première Modernité".
