Course contents :

| Survey of the evolution of literary genres, study of the major authors and cultural currents in Dutch literature from 1700 to 1880. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Introduction to the history of Dutch literature in the 18th and 19th century
Improvement of the students' literary and cultural competences, and of their understanding of the mechanisms of literary evolution and historiography. |

| Good notions of spoken and written Dutch. |
