- Continental and marine carbonates
- Bioconstructions
- Organic sediments, siliceous deposits
- Phosphorites and iron sediments
- Evaporites, volcanosedimentary deposits.
Practical work or fieldtrip will be organized. |

| To acquire the basics of sedimentology and sedimentary petrology: understanding of sedimentary processes and interpretation of sedimentary rocks. |

| Lectures with pictures, movies and rock samples. Practical work on rock samples and thin sections. Optional fieldtrip. |
