Design of integrated transport and mobility

This course is part of the Master in Transport Management. This is an interuniversity master program whose courses are held in Brussels. Additional information about the program and courses is available on the website of the inter-university research center for mobility (CIEM) (http://www.ciem.be). This course is composed of the following three themes:
  • Design of integrated transport and mobility projects - 18h
  • Evaluation and decision support in transportation and logistics - 12h
  • Management of transport plans (and projects) - 15h
The first part of the course provides an overview of techniques for generating transport plans, and elaborates on the different steps of the planning process. The second part presents the different tools for comparing, ranking and selecting the most appropriate plan. The third part focuses on management approaches (implementation and monitoring) of (sequential) transport projects.

This module is dedicated to the fundamental concepts, issues and techniques for the generation, selection, implementation and monitoring of transport plans designed to solve a problem, answer a present or future need in the transport system (infrastructure , organization, operation, etc.).
