- To know the characteristics of temperate forests and the Walloon forest in particular
- To know the woody species in Belgium and be able of species determination
- To acquire the basic knowledge for future learning in forestry

The dates and destinations of outings can be changed due to organisational constraints.
In any case, the presence at outings is mandatory and all absence will have to be justified adequately. Late arrival is not considered a relevant excuse.
