Course contents :

| The course is divided in 3 parts :
The first part starts with a description of the concept of juvenile delinquency, the evolution and the mesure of this phenomenon, especially in Belgium. We then describe criminological theories related to juvenile delinquency and the factors associated. Finally, we discuss the measures in juvenile justice system and particulary the costs and benefits related to detention facilities.
The second part presents and examines specific situations related to juvenile delinquency.
The last part concerns the worskshops and the development of an expertise about some criminological theories and their application in specific situations related to juvenile delinquency. |
