Course contents :
 |
| The content of this course deals with the relationship between the staging of a written text and its spatial expression.
A series of presentations will analyse different approaches to contemporary stage design in dance, theatre, opera and film in relation to their use of space. The latter will allow students to broaden their approach to spatiality by crossing languages taken from other artistic disciplines. Through the references seen in class, students will learn how to look at a proposed theatrical work.
The workshop will give students the possibility to familiarise themselves with experimental and research approaches and to try them out, especially through the production of several three-dimensional options in model form only. These models will be made in reference to a sequence initially chosen by the student from the proposed work.
In parallel to this research, students will be able to develop different means of expression and communication in their concept with the aim of stimulating the evolution of this three-dimensional work. The aim is to achieve coherence between a text, putting it on stage and its final presentation. |
