Students will learn to understand IT resources which will help them in their work as an architect. The aim is to raise awareness and familiarity with software and design techniques which students should not only be able to master as soon as they enter their professional lives, but also throughout their education.
The aim of the course is to adopt an overall approach aiming to integrate IT into all aspects of the architect's work (office applications, processing graphics, producing plans, exchanging files over the internet, etc.).
The theoretical introduction to this course involves, in the first chapter, various aspects of IT in general and, in the second chapter which is more extensive, the use of computer graphics as adapted to the architect's work. Following this introduction, the course will mainly consist of time in the workshop, preceded by short presentations about the IT tools used in order to complete the exercises.
