Course contents :

| This course will first come back on the issue of economic rationality, which is at the heart of debates between economics and anthropology. Secondly, we will deal with three classic themes in economic anthropology, namely the gift, the market and consumption practices. In the second part of the course,we will analyse more recent topics on the basis of the teacher's own fieldwork. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| To introduce students to theories and methods in economic anthropology. At the end of the course students will be able to carry out analyses from an original and critical point of view concerning the economic processes that are going on in our increasingly globalized world. |
