Course contents :  
Participation in consultations, in surgical interventions, in anesthesia, in the treatment of the hospitalized patients, and in the admissions of emergencies.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To confront the students with real clinical cases
To have the ability to provide a differential diagnosis and to propose an adequate treatment.
Be able to perform the initial emergency care and to ensure the treatment of the intensive care patients.

Clinical anatomy (1GMV)
Anesthesiology (2GMV)
Equine surgery (2GMV)

Further information in the students' office, in the office of the equine clinic and on the web-site of the faculty as well as e-campus "equine clinic".
Recommended or required readings :  
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Written and oral exam with a horse in the clinic in june.

Evaluation of scientific and human qualities during the clinics and emergency duties.
Written test during the academic year at the end of the clinic week.
A test about basic knowledge has to be done on e-campus before the beginning of the clinics. In case of non-realisation or failure of the test (note below 12/20), the final note will be diminished by 2 points.

Attendance in the clinics and in the emergency shift is compulsory.
