Organisation and examination :
| Teaching in the first semester, review in January |
Course contents :
| This course gives students a synthetic view of the specificities of the biology of the bioagressors (pests, plant pathogens, weeds), as well as their interactions with the plants and the environment in connection with their epidemiology. It also exposes the approach to the diagnosis and the basis of different control strategies as well as the constraints on the integrated control approach. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| After completing the course, the student will have shown its ability to:
- Identify the main pests and diseases,
- Know the different steps of the epidemiological cycle,
- Understand the impact of different strategies of control on the development of an epidemy
- Analyze biological, socio-economic and regulatory constraints that influence the development and the choice of the control strategies,
- Set up an integrated strategy against a bioagressor. |
