Course contents :  
The first part is devoted to general topics related to health :
  • definition, objectives and concepts related to health psychology
  • main models of health

The second part aims of specific research areas in health psychology : oncology, behavioral risk factors (smoking, alcohol, ...)
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The main objective is to familiarize the student with the clinical approach applied in psychology of health, using the more relevant models.
The written report aims at improving the student a model of health, risk behavior and/or a key concept in class. He will be asked to select two articles related to this model of health, this risk behavior and/or this key concept and then highlight the acquisitions made by reading these two articles.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Oral presentation. Coaching sessions in drafting the written report.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course of health psychology will take place during the first semester of the academic year 2012-2013.
Participation in oral sessions is recommended. Coaching sessions will be organized to do the written report (literature research, selection of articles, group work, ...)
