Course contents :  
The theoretical cours is devided in 6 chapters each one covering a particular topic : -Chap. I:Numerical Integration -Chap. II : Roots, minima and maxima of a function -Chap. III : Linear systems of equations -Chap. IV : Splines curves -Chap. IV : Numerical solution of differential equations -Chap. IV : Notions of image filtering by Fourier analysis
Learning outcomes of the course :  
  • To learn using the computers to solve various problems encountered in physics.
  • To teach the related algorithms
  • To implement these algorithms in C/C++

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
10 afternoons.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The theoretical and practical classes are given in the first quadrimestre. Practical classes are held in room 4/25 of the Physics building B5.

Evaluation is weighed as follows
- 60% for written examination - 40% for practical examination (a code to write)
