Course contents :  
Sociopolitical questions in higher education (several themes will be addressed, notably according to the scientific news).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The participants will gain knowledge and understanding of some major sociopolitical questions influencing the organisation of higher education in the french speeking part of Belguim.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Addressing sociopolitic concerns, the learning activities consist in reading articles, listening to several conferences, participating in discussions through bulletin boards and answering quizzes. The conferences deal for example with how legal issues influence the way higher education is organized, how socioéconomical factors influence access to higher education and other subjects closely linked to higher education. Each conference is followed by an online questionnaire, the bulletin boards allow to exchange ideas and deepen the reflection.

The effective active participation to the online activities (reading the articles, watching the videos, answering the quizzes and participating in discussions) is the evaluation criterion for this course (participation is tracked).
