Course contents :  
The course is dedicated to the study of the tensive semiotics and of its applications in the literary field.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
1. Initiation in the semiological approach to texts.
2. Initiation in theoretical problems relating to literary objects.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
None other than an in-depth knowledge of the French language.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
Active seminar. Class attendance is mandatory. Spring term, Monday 16-18. Room A2/4/15.
Recommended or required readings :  
A reading programme will be proposed in the course of the year.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Each student must hand in a 5 to 10 page piece of written work at the end of the year. An oral assessment will take place on the basis of this written piece of work.
