Course contents :  
Invention and literature. Through the analysis of two works: Le Spleen de Paris (1869) de Baudelaire, Les Lauriers sont coupés de Dujardin (1887).
Learning outcomes of the course :  
  • To be able to produce an original commentary concerning the works, from the point of view of the problems of the invention at the 19th century.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The course on authors at the first and second bachelor's level.

There is no specific assignment under this heading, but class participation is both requested and required.

Oral examination in January, consisting of the presentation and analysis of a passage.
