| In their daily and professional life, managers are overwhelmed by data and information. They will gain a competitive advantage if they can collect, transmit efficiently and manipulate those data to transform them into useful information. ITC (information and communication technologies) can help us reach that goal. The younger generations, born within a digital environment, know that very well and even better after the course «Mastering IT tools» where they learned to use powerful tools but after which, they could be under the illusion that all management problem can be solved with spreadsheets.
Learning to know the possibilities and constraints of those technologies, their potentialities for organisational change and dehumanisation risks, is a major challenge. This study implies the mastery of elementary concepts in management information that we will try to make tangible by abusing of various software and devoting considerable time to Web 2.0 «do-it-yourself».
