| Duration : | 16h Th, 8h Pr |
| Number of credits : |
| Lecturer : | Bernard Heinesch |
Language(s) of instruction :
| French language |
Organisation and examination :
| Teaching in the second semester |
Course contents :
- Numbering systems, Boole algebra
- Logical variables and functions, function table, Karnaugh diagram
- Combinational functions : full adder, comparator, binary decoder, multiplexer, priority encoder.
- Sequential functions : bistables, flip flops, Latches, shift register, counters.
For each item, students will have to solve applications related to the field of climatic and environmental parameter measurement and regulation. |
Learning outcomes of the course :
| To give the basics of conception of electronic circuits to be used in the field of environmental and climatic measure and regulation.
After completing the course the student is expected to be able to:
- carry out elementary operations on binary and hexadecimal numbers
- understand and use data sheets describing logical circuits
- use logical gates to conceive electronic circuits realizing combinational logic functions applied to the field of climatic and environmental parameter measure and regulation.
- coordinate a series of logical operations and to conceive electronic circuits realizing sequential logic functions applied to the field of climatic and environmental parameter measure and regulation.
