Learning outcomes of the course :

| at the end of the class, the student will be able to identify the most common minerals and rocks, to understand and acquire the notion of geological time, the geological processes and their interactions with the biosphere, and basic notions of paleontology (what is a fossil, how does it form, what can we learn from fossils) |
