Course contents :

| The course will be organized in five sections: 1) Labour supply; 2) Human capital investment; 3) Labour demand; 4) Internal markets and 5) Miscellaneous: unions, labour conditions, job search models, discrimination. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| To give the student a complete view of the main economic theories that allow the understanding of the supply and demand behaviour in labour markets. |

Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
 |
| Analytical study of the Labour force survey (LFS) results. |

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

| The course is organized during the first semester into theoretical (2:00 hours) sessions each week.
Theoretical issues are mainly presented with the help of graphs. Labour supply and demand modesl are studied analytically and used as background for exercises. |

Assessment methods and criteria :

| The final writing examination includes theoretical questions and problems covering all the material of the course. A mid-term examination is proposed, but participation is voluntary. |
