Course contents :  
1. Time and spatial scales involved in microbial ecology 2. Fundamentals of microbial ecology
3. Experimental tools related to environmental microbiology
4. Mass transport of microbial cells in the environment
5. Microbial behavior in complex environments
6. Practical part
Learning outcomes of the course :  
This lecture will be focused on the physico-biological interactions between micro-organsimes and their environment. The practical skills will be thus focused on the set up of an experimental plan in order to study these interactions
