Course contents :  
Different topics requiring the expertise of at least two laboratories of the department will be proposed to the students at the beginning of the academic year. A time slot in the first quadrimestre will be devoted to bibliographic research and to the choice of a series of experiments, which will be discussed with the assigned assistants.
At the end of the first quadrimestre, the students will present the results of their bibliographic research to the department members.
The research in the laboratory will start in the second quadrimestre and will end by the redaction of a report and a presentation to the department members.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The aim of those individual integrated research projects is that the student acquire the essential know-how of research in a laboratory.

Every high-quality research starting with a sound bibliography, a very high importance will be given to the bibliographical search. The student will have to demonstrate that he/she is able to position his/her research topic with regard to the state-of-the-art of the field

10 half-days in the first quadrimestre for the introduction and bibliographic research.
6 times 3 days/week for the laboratory research in the second quadrimestre.
2 times 3 days/week for the synthesis with the assistants and writing of the final report and preparation of the final presentation.
