Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :

  • a short introductory presentation will highlight the difficulties of the exercise, as well as the rules required to tackle it.
  • the student will realize the exercise during the workshop
  • the exercise has to be finished at the end of the workshop
For these workshops, drawing material is required, which will be specified at the start of the year. It is vital that students have this material with them at each workshop. A student who does not have his equipment is not allowed to participate at the workshop. Drawings are carefully and precisely drawn by hand, using instruments. The use of IT tools is not allowed.
Recommended or required readings :
The following documents are recommended, but do not cover the entire area. They must be supplemented by taking notes in class.
  • a syllabus covering the various graphics lessons, as well as notes are available on "ecampus", giving principles and examples
  • the following book is recommended to complete this overview (idem bac 1): Frank CHING, Design Drawing, Van Nostrand Reinhold, NY, USA, 1998
The notes have the sole purpose of being used by students as part of their curriculum in the ULg. No other use or distribution is authorized, under penalty of a violation of the law of 30 June 1994 on copyright.
Assessment methods and criteria :
Continuous assessment
Presence in the workshops is compulsory. The exercises will be supervised by the teachers and are taken at the end of the session. Assessment is organised at the end of each term (two in total).
Students can obtain an carry-over for the exam under the following conditions:
  • to be up to date with work during the year (attendance at each workshop, unless cause)
  • to have obtained at least 12/20 in total for the two assessments.
