Workshop 1

Closely related to architecture, the studios 1 in means of expression aim to develop skills in 4 essential areas:
-Observation: learning to see architecture -Representation: presentation & communication of architectural ideas -Deconstruction: learning how to analyse architecture -Composition: how to compose things
These studios take place in the first 3 years, with a specific focus in each year. There is also an option to continue the course at a master's level.
Studio 1 titled space and forms concentrates on the idea of composition in architecture. A course of lectures gives a theoretic base to the subject, presenting a series of architecture projects analysed according to their style of composition. This theoretical basis is reinforced with a practical design studio where the question of generating shapes & forms from a simple spatial concept is explored through models.
