Course contents :  
Based on the partim 1, methodological, theoretical and epistemological questions raised by the anthropology of childhood and children will be addressed. More globally, this involves grasping what the anthropology of childhood and children can contribute to a better knowledge of children's worlds, the societies being studied and mankind in general.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Students will understand, through the examples studied in class, as well as conferences, seminars, readings, and their own ethnographic fieldwork, how to develop a position on methodological, theoretical and epistemological questions raised by the different approaches implemented in the field studied. They will also understand how to present a paper orally and to write a paper, according to scientific instructions.

Conferences, films, debates, readings, oral presentations.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The course will take place in the first term.

Course material: texts, conferences, films, etc.

Students will be obliged to read one publication, articles and extracts from publications.
Assessment methods and criteria :  
Students will send me questions about their readings (portfolio). They will give a presentation on a book during class, and write a scientific paper (based on their final written report, partim 1); the students will also have to give a presentation orally during a "Methodology Seminar" organised during class.
