L'implantation endo-osseuse de racines dentaires artificielles a aujourd'hui atteint un très haut niveau de fiabilité. Il s'agit d'une technique de chirurgie préprothétique qui apporte une solution efficace aux édentations unitaires, partielles ou totales.
L'implantologie orale est par conséquent une discipline clinique en plein développement qui suscite une intense activité de recherche.

L'apprentissage de cette discipline nécessite l'acquisition de notions très approfondies de réhabilitation orale prothétique, d'occlusodontie, de parodontologie (y compris les notions spécifiques d'immunologie et de microbiologie du parodonte), d'anatomie et de chirurgie orale, de métabolisme osseux; d'interaction tissus vivants-biomatériaux,...
Une formation ayant pour objet l'acquisition de ces matières sur les plans théorique et clinique est devenu incontournable depuis plusieurs années. L'objectif de la présente collaboration est d'améliorer encore le niveau des formations déjà dispensées dans les universités partenaires en stimulant les échanges intellectuels et en cumulant les expériences.

Special conditions of access / students concerned
|
This course is aimed at doctors of Dental Surgery (France), Dental Surgeons (France), Stomatologist doctors (France), holders of a Masters in Dental Sciences (Belgium) or a foreign degree which is judged to be equivalent.
Interested individuals should contact the head of the course to discuss their application.

Les candidats devront, outre leur diplôme, fournir un curriculum vitae détaillé et une lettre de motivation. Ils devront justifier d'une formation théorique de base en implantologie, d'une expérience professionnelle d'au moins 3 ans et d'une expérience clinique en implantologie d'au moins 1 an. Il pourra être dérogé à ces deux derniers points si le candidat satisfait à une épreuve théorique d'admissions organisée par le Conseil pédagogique et portant sur les bases fondamentales de l'utilisation de l'implantologie en réhabilitation orale.
Les étudiants s'inscrivent et paient le minerval dans l'université de leur choix (ULg ou Université de Corse). Ils sont exonérés du minerval dans l'université d'accueil.

Duration of the training
|
- Two years of part time study (15 credits per year)
- Splitting may be authorised by the jury.
- On the basis of passing an admission examination adapted to the type of training in advance, the length of the Certificate may be reduced to one year for holders of the University Certificate in Bucco-Dental Reconstruction, the Complementary Masters in Parodontology or the Complementary Masters in Stomatology.
