Presentation
|
This certificate aims to prepare doctors for authorisation as holder of the professional title of `competence¿ in neonatology.
The training aims at teaching skills in all aspects of foetal and neonatal medicine. In this sense, specialist doctors must actively participate in managing foetal pathologies tested for in utero with the various people involved in foetal medicine. In neonatal medicine, the doctor must manage all acute or chronic situations which a newborn may present from the point of delivery to departure from the neonatal department, from a curative and diagnostic point of view while providing sufficient information and psychological support to parents.

Special conditions of access / students concerned
|
Cette formation s'adresse aux médecins spécialistes ou en cours de spécialisation en pédiatrie et habilités à pratiquer en Belgique. Les personnes intéressées sont invitées à prendre contact avec le responsable de la formation pour examen de leur candidature (concours de sélection).
Les titulaires d'un diplôme hors Union européenne doivent contacter le Service des Admissions (Certificat de formation spécialisée partielle).

Duration of the training
|
- Deux années d'études : La formation à temps plein comprend une formation théorique (30 crédits par an) et des stages cliniques (30 crédits par an). Ces 24 mois de stage doivent être effectués dans des services de stage agréés pour la pédiatrie et comportant des sections où sont pratiqués en permanence tous les aspects de soins néonatals intensifs et non intensifs ainsi que de médecine foetale. Un minimum de 12 mois doit être effectué au Service Universitaire de Soins intensifs Néonatals du CHU-CHR.
- La première de ces deux années de stage peut être effectuée dans le cadre du Master complémentaire en pédiatrie.
- Date de début et de fin de formation : septembre à juin
