Course contents :  
The course of ethnography reviews the racial variety within the diverse species of domestic animals. For farm animals (horses, ruminants, pigs, poultry, rabbits), the composition of the livestocks in Belgium and in France serves as reference. For pets (dogs, cats), breedss are presented by group by following the classification of the canine and feline international federations.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
The purpose of the course is to supply the essential elements allowing to define, for the most part of domestic animals raised in Belgium and in France, the breed about which they belong and to know the specificities of their use.
Recommended or required readings :  
Notes are put at the disposal of the students by the "Office des cours" of the FMV
Assessment methods and criteria :  
The examinations are written examinations (opened questions or / and QCM) covering the whole subject..
