-analysis of the composition -hydrophobicity analysis -data banks -homology search -sequence alignments -detection of functional motifs -prediction of secondary structures -prediction of three-dimensional structures
Learning outcomes of the course :  
Show students the statistical methods used in bioinformatics (sequence analysis and structure analysis)

At the end of the course, students must be able to select statistical methods used in bioinformatics
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Knowledge of amino acids (pKa, chemical formulas, chemical properties) and secondary structures (alpha helix, beta sheets, beta turnings...)
