Learning outcomes of the course :  
Studying Data Management Concepts (logical and physical aspects) for the implementation of any Database Management System and its Data Processing System.
After completing the course the student is expected to
- use a data-modelling approach to design relational database structures,
- implement a database by using a Relational Database Management System,
- use the SQL language,
- evaluate technology investments and organizational implications to install a database server,
- use a methodological approach to purchase computing resources,
- write specifications and establish Procurement Documents to purchase Information Technology components,
- understand database and client/server concepts if he must talk with a DP Manager who have the day-to-day technical supervision of client/server Information Technology infrastructure.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
Programming experience.
