Course contents :  
This course is dedicated to the study of the concepts of "civil society" and "globalisation" by theoretical and empirical approaches while trying on the one hand to make emerge a properly sociological glance and on the other hand to promote a reflexion on the current place of these concepts in the field of development studies.
Learning outcomes of the course :  
To approach scientifically the concepts of globalisation and civil society.
To apprehend the social and cultural effects of the so-called globalisation process.
To understand the place taken by the concept of civil society in thedevelopment policies and daily activities.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :  
The knowledge of English is an asset.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :  
Personal work (instructions will be defined at the beginning of the class)
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :  
The mode of delivery will be defined at the beginning of the year according to the number of students.
This course will be organised during the second semestre.
