| The purpose of this seminar is to present the statistical system introduced at European level to monitor the developments on the labour market and, thereby, the achievement of the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy. At Belgian level, the focus will be on the various statistics produced by Statistics Belgium.
What is measured, how and why? These questions will be the guiding threads throughout the presentation. These questions will allow the constructivist aspects of the statistical process to be addressed. In other words, this exercise will be an opportunity to deconstruct the classical statistical approach in order to better understand the inputs, limitations and dangers. |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| At the end of the seminar, the students will be able to identify, use, analyse and assess figures from European, federal and regional public statistics and this for the various issues addressed. |

| This seminar is intended to be practical. The focus will be on the presentation and use of the various tools that provide access to European, federal and regional public statistics. |
